Nemours Scoliosis Program

Scoliosis, whether it be mild or severe, is highly treatable. In fact, most children and teens who receive proper treatment go on to enjoy full, active lives — with a strengthened and straightened spine.

At Nemours Spine and Scoliosis Center, we offer a customized plan of care for each patient. Using enhanced 3D imaging of the spine and the lowest amount of radiation possible, we can accurately diagnose spine conditions and provide patient families with a broad range of treatment options.

For our spinal fusion patients, we offer an opioid-free recovery at home.  This rapid recovery program includes:

  • excellent pain management with less side-effects
  • hospital stays that are reduced by 50%
  • the opportunity for patients to heal faster at home

Patient Story

“She’ll grow out of it."
That’s what Sammy’s parents were told about the curve in their her back. But Sammy didn’t grow out of it and was diagnosed with a 104-degree curve that required surgery.

Now, 3 inches taller as a result of her straightened spine, Sammy is back to competitive dancing.
